The Vermentino Winery, in order to spread awareness of grape growing in Sardinia as an expression of identity and culture, has organised a competition addressing junior high schools and high schools in Sardinia.

The first edition of the competition was won by the first grade of the Comprehensive School of Loiri, Porto San Paolo, and by the State Art School "F. Figari" of Sassari: both were awarded a cultural trip to Verona. The second edition, for school-year 2006-2007 includes collaboration with the General Directorate of the Regional School Office and Italian Railway Company, Trenitalia, which chose to take part in this project of high educational import.
